On May 27, 2024, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and Seaborg signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Danish ambassador's residence. In a significant step towards carbon neutrality, KAERI and Seaborg have joined forces to advance nuclear technology. Both organizations recognize the critical role of nuclear power in a carbon-neutral future and have been working independently on advanced nuclear systems, especially the Molten Salt Reactor (MSR). The signing ceremony featured addresses from key figures: Danish Ambassador Svend Olling, KAERI President Han Gyu Joo, and Seaborg CEO Klaus Nyengaard.
