Klaus Nyengaard has been appointed new CEO for the Danish energy company Seasalt, which owns Seaborg, developer of next generation nuclear reactors. He replaces Navid Samandari, who will stay in the company. Navid has been interim CEO since the beginning of 2023.
Klaus Nyengaard started his career in the management consulting company McKinsey but has since then spent more than 25 years involved in building technology companies. It includes being CEO of JustEat (stock listed in London, 2014) and Chairman of Treatwell (sold to Tokyo stock listed Recruit Holdings, 2019). The last couple of years he has primarily been an investor in technology companies via his role as partner in the venture capital partnership, Nordic Makers.
The appointment is driven by the desire to further strengthen the company's ability to attract new investors and maintain stable progress of the development of Seaborg's new generation of safe, scalable and cost efficient, nuclear reactors.
